DNS Prefetch
Supported Magento versions: 1.9.x 1.8.x 1.7.x
Speed up your Magento® web store with the previous resolution of external domains (DNS prefetching)
DNS prefetching is an attempt to resolve domain names before a user tries to follow a link. This is done using the computer's normal DNS resolution mechanism; no connection to Google is used. Once a domain name has been resolved, if the user does navigate to that domain, there will be no effective delay due to DNS resolution time.
By implementing our DNS Prefetch Module for Magento, it will add meta links in the header of HTML documents. This function is very useful for websites that use various resources from external sources. Loading time can be reduced significantly with 1 up till 10 seconds.
